- To protect and promote the general welfare and interests of the Insurance Brokers who are members of
   the Association.
- To be the reorganized official body in Uganda for the protection of and speak for the interests of all
   Insurance Broker and to promote and maintain sound insurance practices by members of the    Association.
- To promote exchange of ideas and views among members of the Association on operations and all
   insurance practices
- To promote and encourage the training and development of manpower employed in the Uganda
   Insurance Industry.
- To establish, promote and develop classes of insurance business to the best interest of the members,
   their clients and the insurers.
- To watch over any legislation on or affecting insurance in general and Insurance Brokers in particular.
- To ascertain the law and practice relating to Insurance and to edit cases for the information of members.
- To afford means of arbitration on or for settling disputes or questions between members of the
   Association or between members and the third parties.
- To support and subscribe to any charitable institution and to give charitable aid to any former member or
   employee or employees of the Association.
